With a mere two seasons under his belt, Matt Spurrell has leapfrogged from humdrum mid-pack fodder to a genuine menace, flaunting a precious victory and a couple of podiums alongside a penchant for racking up incidents like they’re collector’s items. He may start around eighth and often tumble even further, but once he sniffs the sharp end of the field, everyone else might as well move over for tea and biscuits. Armed with an iRating that’s itching to knock on the door of the 3000 club, Spurrell’s mountain-climbing trajectory is already Enough to rattle the so-called frontrunners. If you’re craving calm and tidy racing, you’d better keep your distance—this bloke’s all about blitzing the track with glorious chaos.
